It was almost 5:00 am in the morning. Sparkle and Rainbow were sleeping peacefully in their room at Thunderbolt University until they heard the loud crashing noise of two large metal pots slamming into each other. Sparkle and Rainbow sprang up as their dorm room sprung open, revealing their friend, Wave. Wave’s blue hair was tied up, and she was dressed in her blue super suit. Sparkle, along with her roommate Rainbow and Wave, were all part of a mutant group named The Thunder Team. They are also students at Thunderbolt University.
“What is it?” Sparkle asked.
“We have to meet someone,” Wave said.
“Did we have to see someone at 5:00 am?” Rainbow asked.
Wave nodded. Sparkle and Rainbow reluctantly got out of their beds and dressed in super suits, too. As much as they felt tired, they knew meeting this person was important to their friend. They called the last member of the Thunder- Team, Thunderstrike. She has the power to control lightning, and she is the leader of The Thunder Team. The team raced down the stairs and went down a long hallway. When they reached the main door, Thunderstrike got her key and opened the door. They went through the front lawn and headed to the titanium gate. The Thunderbolt University, located in the heart of Manhattan, trains mutants to control their powers so that they can safely be around humans. There were four girls on the other side of the gate. Sparkle instantly recognized them. They were the all-famous K-Pop girl group, The StarlightS.
“Wave, why did you drag us out here at 5:00 am in the morning to meet a bunch of K-Pop singers?!” Thunderstrike asked.
“They’re not just singers. They have powers. Watch!” Wave exclaimed.
Arcane, one member of StarlightS, raised her hands up in the air and slammed them down onto the ground. Purple energy waves of magic spread through the floor, pushing Thunderstrike to the ground.
“Ow!” Thunderstrike yelled.
Arcane curled her hands into fists. She uncurled her hands, and there was no more magic coming out.
“K-POPPPPPPPPP ARE MUTANTS TOO!?” Thunderstrike stuttered in shock.
“Sorry. I wanted to demonstrate. I’m Arcane. These are my other members: G-Glow, who can glow in the dark, Firestorm, who can shoot fire, and Sakura, who can grow flowers and plants,” Arcane introduced the StarlightS members.
“You should come inside. We’ll teach you how to train your powers properly,” Rainbow said.
They took all day to train together but eventually got the job done. G-Glow didn’t start glowing all of a sudden, Firestorm didn’t uncontrollably shoot fire anymore, Sakura didn’t have flowers erupt all of a sudden, and Arcane didn’t cause things to float anymore.
“We are going to get ice cream. Do you wanna come?” Sakura asked. “We can go to the K-pop dorm later.”
They all agreed to get ice cream at Haagen Daz. They later went to the K-pop dorm which is only about five miles from the University. Firestorm allowed them to stay at the K-Pop dorm. After a long day, they went to sleep.
Meanwhile, in Washington D.C, sitting at her White House desk, President Sophia was broadcasting her speech.
“The mutants are threats. We should call A-69, the alien queen, to come and bring her team here. The aliens of Coldland are loyal,” President Sophia proclaimed.
Coldland was a planet where everyone’s emotions were cold, and so was the weather all the time. After the broadcast, the senator, a close friend of the president, asked, “Are you sure? A-69’s team has many aliens: normal ones, transformer ones, mummy ones, and even a transformer octopus alien.”
“We will ensure the safety of our people, even if it means calling every alien,” President Sophia said. She then walked away into the hall.
Later, at the K-Pop dorm, the girls woke up. They ate their breakfast and headed outside into a rose garden.
“So, what really happened at your concert?” Sparkle asked G-Glow
“We ruined it,” G-Glow replied sadly.
“Coachella in New Zealand,” Arcane continued.
“How did you ruin it??” Thunderstrike asked.
“We were singing that day when our powers went out of control. We separated briefly to figure out how to use our powers. Thank you for properly teaching us.” G-Glow answered thankfully.
Rainbow started to sense something. Her pupils disappeared, and her eyes burned purple. She rose into the air.
“What’s wrong with her?” Arcane asked.
“When Rainbow senses something, she rises,” Sparkle answered.
“I can go up there and check it out,” Firestorm declared. Rainbow reminded Firestorm to clear her mind since the StarlightS were new with their powers. Firestorm cleared her mind and started flying. She rose up to Rainbow’s level.
“What’s wrong?” Firestorm asked.
“Aliens. They are here,” Rainbow said.
Meanwhile, back at the White House, A-69, the alien Queen of Coldland, and OP-59, the octopus transformer alien, A-69’s sidekick, have arrived per President Sophia’s request.
“You called me. And this better be worth my time,” said A-69.
“The mutants overpower humans. Their powers are a threat to us. I want you to take away their powers,” pleaded Sophia.
OP-59 handed over a briefcase with a syringe inside.
“This is a mutant cure. It takes away powers from them,” A-69 explained.
“This is calling for a war,” OP-59 declared in her robotic voice.
“I don’t want a war!” said Sophia.
The expression on her face told A-69 that she was angry. And then out of nowhere, a huge helicopter was flying over the White House and The Thunder Team and the StarlightS jumped out of the helicopter. The Thunder Team landed on their feet while the StarlightS crashed straight on the ground on their backs. The war has started, ready or not! A-69 groaned. She raised her hands and shot dark magic at Arcane.
“Hang on. I can shield us. Fight the aliens.” Arcane said, raising a shield made of magic.
OP-59 turned into an octopus monster and whacked Firestorm in the face. Firestorm got angry and sprayed a jet of flames in OP-59’s eyes. OP-59 turned back into an ordinary alien. Meanwhile, A-69, Sakura, G-Glow, and Sparkle were battling each other. A-69 was about to wrap Sakura up in her webs of Dark Magic until Sparkle shot sparkles into A-69’s face.
“They say my power is pretty useless. But I find Sparkle me! helpful!” Sparkle giggled.
President Sophia and The Senator were still stuck in the White House, which was starting to crumble. Sakura cast a flytrap plant around A-69 and yanked a gem out of A-69’s armor. A-69’s magic started to dwindle. And eventually, she lost all her power.
“You may have taken my power, but you will never save the president and her senator!!!!!!!” A-69 roared.
She then snapped her fingers, signaling OP-59 to transform into a giant titanium tank and shoot a bomb toward the White House. The bomb exploded before it could reach the White House and Firestorm took the fire from the bomb and threw it back at OP-59.
“Titanium is tough to destroy, but it can definitely melt,” Firestorm said while OP-59 started to become liquid metal.
Everyone cheered except for A-69 who quietly disappeared from the scene. Arcane forgot that the White House was about to fall and quickly held it up with her powers. President Sophia and The Senator quickly crawled out before the White House could crumble into rubble.
“Why did you save me?” Sophia asked.
“Everyone deserves a second chance,” Arcane replied.
The K-Pop girls and the Thunder team went back to the University. There, they found The Senator standing in the middle of the lawn.
“Why are you here?” Thunderstrike asked.
“A-69 got her powers back. She’ll be targeting you. Wave, she’s your sister.” The senator said.
“No. A-69 can’t be.” Wave said, full of fear.
They looked up and found A-69 flying above the University.
“Nice to see you again, sister.” A-69 said to Wave.
